Can't use discord nitro due to nitro basic subscribtion

Do I have to wait for the nitro basic to end so that I could use the discord nitro?

I bought a Basic nitro the other day, and my friend gifted me a Nitro with 2 boosts. So I claimed it but the issue is I can't use the perks from the Discord nitro, I can't use the free 2 boosts, or even change my profile into GIF
