chat history after a certain point

I have an Idea , Discord should have a setting or just let it be default like some other platforms 
Let chat history be deleted completely after like a week or have a setting that lets you pick a time frame of deletion like 1 week to 30 days 

In my opinion it should be an option 
I know I can't be the only one that wants this as a setting 
it also should be an option for  servers that are hardly being used 
chat histories should be just deleted over time
