2FA Lockout Recovery Options

I have an old account that I got locked out of back in September 2017. Every few months I reach out to discord's support team to see if they will let me have my account back because I have everything to do with it except for the 2FA code/backup codes. Support of course gives me the same information every time. An options to recover through email like Steam does with its 2FA would be absolutist magical. I had my 2FA on a phone that I bricked with some modding, reset it and google auth was just gone, tried to get it back but the generated codes were simply incorrect.

    @Discord implement 2FA email verification solution rather than going through with this new username change no one asked for!!!

    Agreed! Currently going through the wave of 2FA lockout posts since 2023 and it’s sad to see so many. A 2FA lockout solution is long due.
