This whole thing has been very, very disappointing and to be quite honest very frustrating too. I believe a lot of people are actually thinking about cancelling subscriptions instead of upgrading.

First, if I recall correctly, we were suppose to pay 49.99 for the high tier like forever, as you guys said. This was your way of saying thank you for those, like me, supported Discord in the early days of Nitro.

I have my first Nitro in the beginning of 2017 and I have never stopped to subscribe. It seems more of a way to support a growing company that was trying to be different. How different did that story turned out to be huh?

Another thing that I find very disappointing is that the warning in settings only says "my access will end on January 1st" however it was never mentioned that I would have to pay the difference to get the perks of the higher tier Nitro. The sentence could be interpreted as "your access to grandfather price will end", not the perks themselves.

Some people, like me, have renewed their subscription recently and now either they have to pay the difference or be happy with the classic feature. At least they could take the perks at the renew time and if the person choose the classic tier. That would at least be fair.

What it seems to be is that Discord has gone greedy and wants more money so is forcing us, the first believers, to pay more.

Just very sad with this whole thing.

    Just cancel your sub. Their product was barely worth $50/yr. At $100 it's now definitely not worth it, and the classic was never worth it. We can live without extra emojis and spend the money on something more useful, like better hardware.

    i like to keepy my server professional looking with a banner and i also stream daily and FPS/MBPS is important... but.. this new discord boost falling off system is a COMPLETE SCAM!

    I'd be fine with classic or not being grandfathered if classic kept the boosts, or the boosts weren't insanely overpriced.  10 dollars a month for basic banner/animated icon is crazy, and that only gets 720p streaming which should  be the bare minimum.  It's frustrating as a nitro member since early 2017 that I would rather cancel my nitro entirely rather than support this.
