Shift + enter closes discord
when you typing something in chat and pressing shift + enter discord closes.
THIS PROBLEM MIGHT BE SOLVET BY FULL BETTER DISCORD REINSTALL!!!
it worked for me cause i reolised it when i entered css editor and then discord crashed

Same here. Shift + Enter adds a new line and then immediately crashes the Discord application. Can't really figure out what's causing this. Discord why, why?!

New thing it's just any new line that causes this crash. It doesn't have to be shift + enter.

the boyfriend and i are also having this issue. it's especially annoying for me since i normally run discord in half-screen (so the smaller input box wraps to a new line much sooner)

Same thing is happening to be, cant use the app version anymore, have to use the browser version, im using the normal version of Discord, unlike OP

I have the same crap,but only added two buttons F and C

if you go to settings > text and images > disable "preview emojis as you type" itll stop crashing, as a temporary fix, but yeah i have the same issue

The bug is extremely simple and shouldnt take long to fix.
They just have to remove the line I copied a few comments earlier.
Or catch the exception somewhere and not let it crash the app.It's frustrating to see that this issue is already 3 days old and no dev has reacted to it.

Just got an update seconds ago, seems to have fixed the issue!
Edit1: (Note: Im on the PTB [Public Test Beta] version, so the update may not be up for base discord yet).
Edit2: I got pranked kinda hard, It worked upon updating. Restarted Discord and it is doing it again.

Well hello,
this is a common issue in better discord previous versions and not discord itself...if you're experiencing this issue on normal discord there are a few possibilities and the only thing you could do is reinstall discord itself,
but if is this happening- Search bandagedBD.exe on your system
- click on install bandagedBD
- Install it to stable
and it should be fixed

Strange how this works in vanilla, I used to have BD, but some of the themes weren't as nice as I thought they would be.

If someone also has BandageBD (better discord) just reinstall it it worked for me

Just download the installer and "repair" the discord. BD or official. It doesn't matter.
