New Logo=Failure to live up to your design goals

In your justification message for the alteration of the discord logo and font you specifically say "How can we give Clyde a refresh without going too crazy?" Well guess what? You failed in that. I don't think Clyde needed to stay in his little chat bubble, letting him wander around would have been fine, but you specifically say that Clyde's situation inside the bubble reminded you of a hamster stuck in a rolling ball. Then you decide "hey, lets put Clyde in a bubble!" resulting in clyde sitting on my desktop, trapped in a little ball when just 24 hours ago he had his own little box. As someone who's walked around in a ball before those are not fun times.

Beyond that, based on preliminary observation it looks like the "sharp little antennae" have been removed, it looks like you've grabbed them roughly and ripped them off his poor little head, the spots where they were removed swelling up to create the nubs you see now. You clearly had no issue making little notches for the legs, so why not the antennae?

On top of that the new color is far too bright. "It’s a bit more lively. A little bit brighter. And hopefully, a bit more like home." are your exact words when discussing your decisions, and I'm going to be honest, you've failed. it's certainly brighter, too bright. When I think of home I think of soft colors, someplace calm and inviting that I can just chill in. The only goal you reached is the fact that it is more lively, as it livened me up to consider writing this feedback.

And the font, you didn't even bother to justify it beyond "We explored hundreds of different fonts before landing on this very unique font face that we believe captures the playfulness of Discord" What exactly was wrong with the old font exactly? The old font was amazing! sleek and futuristic. Meanwhile this font looks more like it belongs on the title card for a children's program.

I'm attaching my concept for the logo since I've always been told to not put forward complaints without coming up with potential solutions. Feel free to use it if you like even!
