    I actually think that this is a good marketing strategy. There are two bad things about it:

     

    1. Three months are way too much. I mean, we are paying round about $30 for this, why should they just get it for nothing?
    2. I am a Nitro Classic subscriber. Why can't I upgrade to Nitro for those three months? I mean, I am paying for my subscription to support you. You give non-paying users a free Nitro but leave us subscribers behind? That's evil - shame on you!

    I think Discord's gonna feel it in the long term, giving extended free nitro to little kids who use fake debit cards and then immediately cancel whilst simultaneously sticking a giant middle finger up at all your existing customers doesn't seem like a great business practice to me.
