Warnings instead of permanent bans?

I've recently read news articles that state Discord will now start handing out warnings rather than permanent bans. Do you have any idea how ridiculous that is? I lost my account due to this being a thing way too late. Plus, my messages were completely ignored too; bots would just constantly close my support tickets. Either treat everyone equally and ban everyone, or warn everyone. While it was unfair that my old account was deleted in the first place, this still should not be a thing. I've said it and I'll it again: fix your platform.
