Regarding 2FA

So recently one of my friend got logged out (Hacked) and he tried logging in but it showed up to enter backup codes for 2FA which he didn't setup but the hacker did and he even didn't had his phone number linked to it. He mailed the support and they refused to reset 2FA temporarily and asked him to put Backup codes. How can somebody put the backup codes if he ever didn't setup 2FA. In the new update they should probably help such people. Atleast care about your users. He lost a 4year old account with more than 100 friends and important data.The support followed half step step which was to disable but didn't reset 2FA. Wow what a support. Now he is really sad and haven't slept properly. Please make some changes to 2FA. Edit: I won't give up. I will keep mailing you. I'll wait for years but won't lose my patience. Wake up discord support and managers.

    I lost an 8 year old account, discord prefers to pretend that hackers don't exist, in the meantime thousands of users are harmed

    Yeah brother, I would say Google is far far better in terms of support. The same 2FA was there on my account but they helped me in getting back and that's the account im using rn.
