APNG support

The desktop client itself seems to support apngs. However, the server resizes images before embedding -- leaving only the first frame as the embedded image (instead of an animation).

To clarify, I'm not asking for apng emojis or avatars, just embedded images.

    Guilded is far from perfect, its still WIP but for now its free and they innovate

    Out of all recommendations I made for discord only 1 got into the finished product, the devs are way too slow

    I've created a pull request to lilliput (Discord's image resizer and the component that currently strips frames from animated PNGs) that adds support for APNG files.

    The last visible activity on the linked github was about a month ago, but it looked like they were receptive to the change.   

    commandblockguy  That's the first time I've seen any kind of visible progress on this issue since they first dropped APNG support.    I didn't even consider that the resizer/frameserver was to blame until your post.    Based on your interaction, would you say it's likely they're implementing this?  It looked to me like they thought this patch to support APNG was very cool... and then nothing.

    I'd say that it's unlikely - from their comment on the pull request:

    About the PR specifically, Discord has made some product decisions about APNGs which, for better or worse, treats them as differently than GIFs. From that perspective my request would probably just be to make the logic selectable, so that we can keep using the old path for now. Unfortunately the freezing of PNGs has become rather load-bearing.

    I see, I wonder if we'd have more luck getting them to support animated WebP than APNG, if that's their position.
