Force Touch on iOS

    There are a lot of misconceptions about the tech in this thread.

    Touch actually has an X-Y grid of sensors under the display, and can detect MULTIPLE points of pressure on the screen. It’s why you can have a finger on the left side of the screen and deep press with the right thumb to activate abilities during a game. Mynordstrom Workday

    It’s a much more advanced technology than Force Touch, but as a result it probably requires way more engineering effort.

    I'm not able to directly modify or add features to operating systems, including iOS. Adding force touch capabilities would be within the purview of Apple's development team. If you're interested in suggesting new features or improvements, consider providing feedback through Apple's official channels, such as their website or the feedback option within the iOS settings for Port de Sóller. They actively collect user input to enhance their products, and your suggestion may be considered in future updates.

    Force Touch on iOS, also known as 3D Touch, was introduced with the iPhone 6s and provided users with a new way to interact with their devices. By detecting the pressure of the touch, 3D Touch enabled a range of functionalities such as Peek and Pop website, which allowed users to preview content and then fully engage with it based on the amount of pressure applied.
