Rich text editing in Markdown
I'd love to see support for this: Rich text editors support shortcuts such as `CTRL/CMD` + `B` for making the highlighted text becoming bold. Instead of forcing users to manually enter Markdown to format their text, I think rich text editing should be implemented to make text formatting even easier. This would, of course, only need to be implemented on the Discord desktop platforms (you don't often see mobile users with `CTRL` in their keyboards). Example usage: The user highlights the text they want to format to, say, underlined. They press `CMD/CTRL` + `U` and the highlighted text will get `__` and `__` around it. It shouldn't be hard to implement, but it would do a huge difference to the user friendliness! Thanks :)

For mobile, perhaps there could be some extra options when you highlight text to format it.

There's a lot of demand for this!
I misspoke about there being other topics on it, or at least...I cannot find the other topics.
Spread the word! I will try and do so as well! Almost a decade or so ago, we finally got WYSIWYG/Rich Text Editors for BBCode (We already had 'em for HTML), and there's a Markdown Editor for Reddit!
We just have to essentially do what they did ages ago, but exclude the features that won't work in Discord (or find a way to include them in Discord).
