On the desktop version of discord, mobile users have a small phone icon next to their username. In the mobile app, desktop users should have little computers or a mouse or something. It's just a nice little feature.

  I personally don't see a point in having this as it would just clutter up the user interface even more. The lack of a Mobile icon if a user is online (not counting idle/dnd as those hide it) should be enough to tell you they're on desktop.

  It looks a bit pointless, as you can be either on mobile or on pc. One indicator is enough.

  Yeah like they said ^^^... think of no indicator as the desktop indicator. It can only be desktop or mobile lol

  but if there are only two options, mobile and PC, wouldn't the lack of a mobile icon by default mean they are on PC?

  this is pointless. if there is no mobile icon obviously they are on desktop.

  Pointless. If we know those who are accessing through their mobile devices we also know those who are accessing through computers. This would only make the UI clumsy.
