HDR Screen Share

HDR Screen share would be a great feature to have for people with the appropriate monitors and hardware!

    The only workaround I've found is not at all ideal (for most). You need OBS or something similar that can basically do the HDR to SDR function for you. OBS has this built-in to their display capture feature (Force SDR is a checkbox). 

     

    Basically what I've been doing is opening OBS and projecting my OBS Preview onto a monitor that I'm not using. I will then screenshare that monitor with the preview to my friends on discord. This way on Monitor A - I'm playing my game in HDR and on Monitor B - I have the fullscreen OBS preview that is SDR that I'm screensharing to my friends. It's a win-win other than sacrificing my monitor. I happen to have a 4 monitor setup so this doesn't impact me that much. But for someone with 2 monitors this will be pretty annoying to deal with. 

     

    Other benefits are that you can actually use OBS to swap between scenes to share to your friends. Like I have 4 scene setups depending on what I want to show them. I just use a OBS hotkey and switch to my webcam scene for instance if I need to show them something IRL. I enjoy using OBS now for this but again, depending on your monitor situation this will be hit or miss.
