All the people that have reported servers or people for illegal activities like selling cheats/drugs and stuff receive a badge on their profile

    Badges are generally good things, people will want this badge and do bad stuff to get it. We shouldn't be rewarding drug dealers.

    God no. This badge will cause more issues than what it solves. Imagine people doing illegal activity online just to get a badge somewhere. I know for a fact that atleast someone will try this, so please no.

    And if you dislike this suggestion it's probably because you break the ToS and don't want people to be motivated to report you guys who break the rules.

    I’m afraid that this would cause an excessive amount of false reports and spam. It shouldn’t be about how many users you can report, we should simply have fun.

    What you're saying is to encourage "minimodding", which in this case means you have people actively looking for people to report. As much as this may seem useful from your perspective, not only is it banned in many servers, but it's also just not the job of the user to do. Of course you should report people when you know them to be breaching the TOS, but as it's already been mentioned, it does encourage a large amount of spam.

    The other reason I oppose the idea, is that to most people, having a badge like that displayed on your profile will likely make people less inclined to talk to you, and could easily create a new grounds for discrimination against such users. As we want to keep the community friendly (and no more toxic than it already is), it'd be best not to make such changes. Also many people who do report people on discord probably don't want others to know who not to tell when they break the rules.
