I got detected as "something out of the ordinary going on"
Hello, I've posted a previous request stating the exact same problem. Link: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/requests/8738716. I am currently locked out of my account and it's been 5 hours, it would be best if an actual user could reply/assist my needs instead of a bot due to the fact that there's only so much it can say.
So to reiterate, I was messaging other random users in the Mineplex server in an attempt to introduce myself, collaborate together, become friends, play a game, etc. Then suddenly I was logged out and a page replaced my chat; "Somethings going on Here" it said I was detected for something out of the ordinary. This is completely bogus.
However, I do believe I know the cause of this problem. I was messaging using the same or similar phrases as my greeting message to every person I met. Its technically like saying hi to multiple strangers. It must have found me as a bot due to my "suspicious speaking manner" (this is how I talk) and perhaps spam, I was messaging one random user after another.
Is it possible if you could just manually give me access to my account? Thanks.

Same for me, I dont have a phone and i've waited for about an hour and have no response, i've refreshed and logged out several times, Discord needs to fix this because all i was doing was messaging my friends and i guess it thought i was a spammer or a bot

Okay so Last night i was on laptop then i had to change to phone but when i tried to log in i forgot the password so i tried to reset it And i did then on my phone it said "Something's going on here" and that i'll have to verify my account by phone number well too bad i don't have a sim Can i have my account back like please man i just wanted to log on my phone pleasee im begging i talk to people here and alot of them mean alot to me i only made this account almost 4 months ago

The same thing happened to me, i don't hv a phone when i tried my parents phone no. it said "you're being restricted" i tried getting into contact with staff and they helped and i got my acc back it took almost a week tho and this is really annoying i understand them thinking i am a spam bot but locking kids out of their acc and asking for their phone no. when most don't hv have one really annoys me. discord should do something more like entering passwork

Hi, I don't have a phone. So is there a way I can bypass this "Phone Verification" thing, and get back onto discord? I have been locked out for some time now. I contacted the discord app and have told them my issue, sadly it did nothing. Then I made a new account as people have said above, but then I get a message saying "Someone is trying to access you account" and it tells me what i can do to change that. But I wanted to use this account, so I didn't change it, because it wanted me to pay money and stuff. Now I can't get onto discord to either of my accounts. I would be able to verify my email, if that is possible but I can't verify my phone number (Cuz I don't have a phone.)
What do I do to bypass/resolve this issue? Without using a phone.

I think I am going to quit discord, like why does it expect everyone to have a phone??? They should make one, for verifying email so you don't think we are sus or whatever.

I got the same thing! I was in a "join for join" server, and in dms i kept on saying "j4j". And then, Discord suddenly said something was going on in there. I'm waiting for my sister to come home so I can verify with the phone. Is this thing something new or not? I mean, it's quite annoying because in 2 hours someone might give me nitro. I'd like to claim it before it expires and if my account is like this then I can't.

The same thing happened to me. Unlike many of you i was not messaging multiple people the same thing. I also don't own a phone and discord is pretty much my only social life and as such is very important to me. If anyone knows why this is happening please say so.

I had these phone verification problems too when I didn’t even have a phone so I only had one choice, to take my mom’s phone and verify. And now I never have to verify! Another good thing is that I don’t need to verify when I join a server and react with emojis to a message...I hope y’all find a solution soon. Good luck!

Also, for everyone who doesn’t have a phone, just tell everyone you know, about this dumb verification so they know if u don’t come online or message for a long time
