Agree. I would actually like to be able to turn off the mutual servers thing as well. i have had people come from one server, notice they are in another server i am in, to harass me in there and try to get people from there to start a witch hunt against me. Sounds odd i guess, But i literally have never done anything to any of these people or given them any reason to harass me like this, if there is even a reason. I guess somewhere along the way i just got tied up in the wrong group of people.

This feature only applies to public servers as of now which I presume are community servers.

If it's a private server for people you know it shouldn't be public in the first place, I still agree with this being a feature however, the thought of indirect advertisement is painful.

    • if the server is mutual the server it originates from is shown regardless of server publicity
    • if the server is private and the viewer isn't in it it won't show.
    • if the server is public the user will be able to view and join the server it comes from regardless of mutuals

I don't care this feature only applies to public servers (although so far it's been doing it for all my emotes). It is still an annoying feature. Sure, someone can join the server and see me there, but that means they should belong to that community already and join, since they have no clue that I'm in that server.

Say that I like trains, and I use an emoji from a server for fans of trains. Maybe intentionally. Maybe by mistake. And someone could point out "oh you're such a fan of trains that you're on a discord server of trains" and mock me for that.

I've been using Nitro for using third party emotes for a long time, and this feature discourages me from doing so at certain contexts.

For me, this feature shouldn't have existed in the first place and I don't know what kind of application it has, but now that it is made, the best approach should be letting the user decide whether or not to share the emoji.

I'm sure with some info and the API it is still possible to find out where an emoji comes from... but let's at least prevent the casual users from knowing so.

My server isn't public and people can still download the emote pack from my server. I want it disabled
