Option to hide Channel Pane in a Pullout Menu when the Channel Pane would take up a certain amount of the window size.
Discord is almost always open on my secondary monitor. This monitor isn't as large as my primary display (1280x1024, versus the primary 1920x1080), and I often use this monitor for multitasking when the primary display is in full use, so real estate is important. Discord's smallest allowed window size on PC is 940x500. I believe the width restriction is a direct result of the channel sidebar being forced visible at all times.
What if I told you the necessity of this limitation could be nullified completely by turning the sidebar into a pullout drawer?
The setting could be automatic based on window size, or always on. When the drawer is collapsed, a small tab edge is visible, and the tab can slide fully into view when the mouse hovers over it. Click the tab to expand the pullout. While it is expanded, the channel pane will overlay the edge of the chat area, as not to resize it. The drawer can automatically collapse (and hide itself, showing only the tab edge again) once the cursor moves away from the drawer for a moment (maybe 800 milliseconds), when a channel is selected, or when the text box comes into focus.
Optionally, a "lock into place" button could keep the drawer expanded, which would resize the chat area to keep everything visible, thus enforcing a window size limitation and allowing the channel pane to function like it does today.

I'm surprised this isn't already a feature. Discord works great via mobile web brower, aside from the fact that the channels menu is not collapsible.
