Can't change my account ID

I have Nitro and I am now aware that there is no way to find other users names and ID's as they have removed the feature to search for names publically. I can't find out if anyone has taken my ID due to this, so please make it so you can do this again. One of the reasons I have nitro is to have my ID be a special number. Now that I can't do this anymore, it's infuriating, because any number I try says it's taken, even though it doesn't make sense that it is considering I've tried many numbers and only an hour passed before I tried to change the number back. How would someone steal that in such a short amount of time? Let alone any other number? I really feel like it's glitched or if someone does have my ID I don't have any way of knowing. So I guess all I can ask is that, bring back the idea of Public lookups, considering nothing can be done about my problem right now, and I doubt anyone else has this issue as well, considering support has told me there is no solution right now for this. Its really infuriating not knowing if someone stole my ID in a one hour time period. What are the chances for my username and ID both to be taken in just an hour or so? Makes no sense. Really believe that this is a bug.
