Discord Mobile's UI updates are awful

Every time to my knowledge that Discord has updated the UI, basically everyone has hated it. Why exactly do they keep trying to improve upon the practically perfect UI they already had? Especially in the latest update, jeez how did that get past testing? Everything is slower, the way everything slides now is abyssmal, and the UI at the bottom is completely unnecessary, especially since the old one did pretty much everything that did but better and less confusingly.
