Custom Server Profile Banners

With features like custom server avatars (identities) rolling out, this allows individuals to have differing themes for themselves on the servers they participate in. For example, in a school server, you might want to have your real face. On the other hand, in a public discord server, you might want to have an anime avatar that you wouldn't want to use in your school/work/etc. server.

Now, with profile banners rolling out, the same level of customization should be incorporated into this feature. Having only a universal banner limits users by not allowing them to pick banners that fit their profile theme in these various servers. You might want a meme banner on one server that wouldn't be appropriate for other servers. Or, say you pick a light blue banner that matches with your default profile picture, but unfortunately, the color clashes horribly with many other warm-toned custom-server avatars you choose. Or, say, you join a hellmo cult in one server that requires a hellmo profile banner, but your religious group server does not welcome that sort of display. The dilemmas are endless.

To further note, when users have custom server avatars, the automatic flat-color-background also generates from them, instead of generating from the default/universal account avatar. Most times, the automatic generated color matches pretty well with the custom avatar. So, they're at least matching when users don't have a banner. This puts individuals who pay for nitro to unlock features such as custom profile banners at a disadvantage: they want their custom avatar to, color-wise, match the banner, but they can only do so if they choose not to have a personal banner anywhere. 

Thus, Discord, please consider adding a custom per-server profile banner feature. Having custom profile banners will allow this added sense of personalization, practicality, and aesthetics to greatly improve the user experience on this platform. Just like how you can customize your server avatar and nickname, you should also be able to customize your server profile banners.

    I feel like we should also ask discord to not lock the server avatar feature behind $10 nitro.

    I totally agree, we should be able to customize both, it just makes sense.
