Threads user side fix

Threads are a nice addition for business-oriented Discord users. But they can make things very, very difficult for users who are not business-oriented, especially when people randomly play around with them etc. It's already been brought up that it's a nightmare for moderators to reckon with. What runs me across the ceiling is trying to follow a frustratingly fluid number of arbitrary subchannels. Both these are easily solved with one feature, which, if I am honest, should have been part of the initial release, and is really the first element for this sort of thing:

User-side opt-out. Put a switch in the settings that merges thread posts into the main channel for that user only. Serverside it just looks like the user is in all channels. Context features to allow these users to interact with threads while merged can be added later; that doesn't compromise the usability of the app to begin with.

This way, people who enjoy having 30 new channels very day when they get home from work can still have this, while users who find this outright stressful can avoid it. Furthermore, moderators concerned about covert N-word channels will no longer need to be - they will see the bad actors' bad posts and be able to exterminate them on the spot. I don't know how bot API works but this seems like something that would benefit from, too.

This would solve many problems at a stroke, and I restate, is such a fundamental part of smoothly executing such a radical change, it really should have pushed like this to start.
