Discord should add hyperlinks, as long as they're careful about it. For example, having them off for everyone in servers by default, as someone random could be linking potentially harmful websites, and on top of this, for DMs on default setting, allow only friends to send links like these to you, unless you change this in dm settings. For groupchats, it should be allowed there too.
