Why does discord need my address for nitro?

maybe im being stupid but im just curious, why does discord need my address if im buying nitro? i just feel slightly curious as to how discord will use my address should i give it to them.

  they probably need it for the billing address that's issued on your card/bank, most sites require it so it's no surprise discord also requires it
