the environmental effect cryptocurrency has isn't worth it. i'll be cancelling my nitro subscription and don't plan on supporting discord as long as it's considering crypto integration.

    Ethereum plans to reduce energy consumption by 99.5% in June next year with ETH 2.0 removing miners all together. Polygon currently uses this upgraded system to achieve phenomenal efficiency and consume no more energy than the servers of games you play. These concerns are being addressed and I hate to lose out on all the cool possibilities because of it

    Cool possibilities such as what? Even if the environmental issues with cryptocurrency were going to be sold (they aren't, because the largest stakeholders in major coins have a fiscal incentive to prevent any change to the way those coins work) there is no benefit to making money laundering and speculation that shouldn't happen in the first place "green". There is zero human benefit to cryptocurrency.
