Crypto implementation will alienate the majority of Discord's userbase
I'm here for the same reason you all are. Besides the absurdly high energy consumption (we've all seen that figure about bitcoin consuming the same amount of electricity annually as several small countries) many of us are aware of how glaringly obvious it is that cryptocurrency, NFTs, etc are a complete scam. I hope the amount of posts flooding the feedback page right now will make it clear what a complete mistake it will be if Discord moved forward with implementing the use of cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is not used for NFTs.
Please note that estimates of environmental damage had been blown out of proportion and sensationalized. If you have other sources, I would like to have the most accurate information possible.
