Potential Cryptocurrency/NFT Integration

Please don't do this.

Cryptocurrency is an inherently exploitative mess that promotes extraordinarily wasteful resource consumption and serves no practical purpose. It is an unsustainable, highly fragile fake economy. NFTs are a downright scam, existing purely to inflate in value until someone is left holding an unsellable, fake token that grants them nothing, and they have to take the fall for a trend that died out.

Do not add any type of blockchain technology to Discord. If Discord proceeds with their plans to do so, I will be canceling my Nitro, encouraging all of my friends and family to cancel as well, and looking for a new client to use for talking with my friends. I want no part of any program that utilizes blockchain technology and I will not hesitate to ditch Discord if they integrate blockchain tech into their chat client.

Please consider this, Discord, as a formal complaint from me and a request NOT to proceed with whatever plans you had.

EDIT: as the comments suggested, I've just gone ahead and canceled nitro immediately. Maybe you'll listen to that.
