Discord's Involvement in Cryptocurrency

I've cancelled my subscription to Nitro, after gladly continuing with it after a free promotion showed me the benefits of the subscription, due to the potential involvement of the app in cryptocurrency. I like using Discord, and I do regret having to cancel my subscription, but I cannot support a company that actively involves itself in a risky, environmentally disastrous pyramid scheme. If this truly goes through I will have to find another place to take my server, and will actively encourage my friends to follow me. None of them are too keen on crypto, either.

Please do not fall into something that is actively worsening climate change. I guarantee you'll lose more money than you might gain with this predatory scheme.
