Switching from Monthly to Yearly Nitro Subscription

I have been trying to switch from a monthly subscription to a yearly one but I just can't seem to work it out.

The only ethical way I found to switch Nitro plans is to wait for my current monthly Nitro subscription to end and then subscribe again to the yearly plan. I find this option very annoying as it would remove my current 2 month server booster badge.

Another somewhat unethical option I found is to create an alternate account and gift yourself a one year nitro subscription.

Can anyone help me out with this?

    Instead of creating a new account you also have the option of buying a one year gift, creating a group chat with just yourself and sending said gift in there. This will add one year worth of nitro credits to your balance. Right now I believe this is the only other method, as I can't think of any another way to do this.

    There is nothing unethical about having multiple accounts so long as you don't use them for any obnoxious purpose, you don't ban evade and you don't join servers with more than one account
