Android mobile image viewer, cannot use back button

When opening an image and then trying to close it you now have to swipe down or hit the X. Previously you could use the Android back button to exit the image. Now it minimizes the app. You go back in the app and see the image still up. This is pretty frustrating.

    I can't even close the image viewer if I zoomed in. Swiping down will just move the image and the X button is not shown. The recent update significantly worsened the user experience.

    They "fixed" it for a few days then with this latest update it's been broken again. The latest update allows images to be viewed by side by side when on mobile which is a nice update, but breaking the back button again is disappointing.

    Also worth mentioning, I'm enrolled to beta on Android. Not sure where feedback is supposed to go since I've not heard back from anyone yet.

    Issue is still happening is this a bug or new intended feature and if so can we have the option to change back button functionality?
