about the new image update

hey so i feel the need to join in on talking about the new image update. i really, really don't like it.

there are so many times where i go to share my artwork with some friends in a server, and i'd put several photos of my drawings all in one message to prevent them from getting spammed with 6 or 7 notifications. i have no clue why "spam prevention" was even given as a reason for this update, because all this makes me want to do is spam post images in multiple messages so that i can see all of them at once, especially since now i can not quickly scroll through any of my image channels without potentially missing something hidden behind a cropped grid. and trust me - someone sending 6 messages all in succession when you arent actively using discord is pretty annoying, and i feel like this update is just going to cause the spamming of images in (multiple) messages to happen more often. i mean...

...it just looks so - cluttered, how it is now- and the cropping is just weird. the borders of the images being rounder also bothers me a lot - kind-of ruins the design of the image borders from before - it makes it look too soft, which i feel doesnt work too well. the "thumbnails" are also very low-quality - two days ago i sent myself two screenshots of a chat i had in a server, and both looking at the thumbnail and opening the images makes them impossible to read just because of how compressed they are. before i updated, those screenshots were completely readable. also had recently sent myself a drawing that i am planning on making digitally, and because of how compressed it is, i can not understand what is going on in it - and i drew the damn thing.

i use discord as a place to keep track of my artwork and hold screenshots and other images for later reference, and this is a pretty huge inconvenience. hope this update gets reversed.

Je suis de votre avis, la nouvelle mise à jour au niveau des images est vraiment nulle espérons qu'elle soit retiré ou au moins que l'on ait le choix de voir comme avant ou non

Remove this entirely, or at the very least, provide a toggle, one that is set to Disabled by default, because most people never asked for this.

This isn't twitter, images shouldn't be layed out that way.

I agree, don't understand Discord's recent obsession with looking like other social media services, and I despise this update quite a bit. Hopefully they remove it soon
