Mosaic Images BAD, here's a FIX.
So, this is more of a science expertiment, I posted this exact same post with another title 4 days ago and got nothing but downvotes and a single upvote which got cancelled out by another downvote.
Since those people haven't said why I deserved the downvotes, I'm assuming they believe I enjoy the mosaic layout for some reason or simply cannot read.
The original post is here if anyone is interested : [ https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/12711669301783-Potential-Solution-To-Image-Update-Issue- ]
If you have any qualms with this idea, be sure to leave a comment unlike those I'm pretty much going to be using as unpaid test subjects. If this gets infinitely more upvotes, I'll know that the title was somehow an issue. Onto the copy & pasted suggestion:
Well, this recent image update has left the devs who are proud of their new Twitter-like image layout and everyone else who is... Much less enthused about it at an impasse, however I have a solution that allows both sides to win.
I think it can be fixed by giving the option to change the sizes, borders and layout of images in each individual post, allowing them to take up the entire width and height of the text chat or be as small as a human finger can comfortably press on a touchscreen, with bigger image options (they'd remain the same size when expanded) being possible to lock roles or individuals out of if image spam is really such a problem.
This way, the art community can show off the entirety of their images unabated (aside from Discord's image compression/cropping, perhaps.), Discord won't have to chuck the Twitter-esque layout they spent time on and they'll also get their way of handling image spam.
Everyone. Wins.

Discord doesn't care about art, they only care about making profit. If Discord ever fixes this bug it would be very nice. I downgraded my nitro to lowest possible tier and don't miss anything because the user experience is degenerating anyway ..
