The Bulgarian Cyrillic font 🇷🇺🚫

Greetings. Before the introduction of the new Discord font, a special variant of the Cyrillic font was available for Bulgarian users. It is conventionally called Bulgarian Cyrillic and is enforced by our government in all digital and print spaces. The Cyrillic we see now is in its Russian standard, with significant differences from what we are used to. The Bulgarian letters have been modified, are more rounded, the lower case letters are in their handwritten form and are easier to recognize, differing from the upper case letters in their higher or lower heights. Some of the affected characters are: Д, Л, Ф, в, г, д, ж, з, и, й, к, л, п, т, ш, щ, ю.

We, the Bulgarian Discord community, request the return of this version of the Cyrillic font, which for us is easier to read, more aesthetically pleasing and more motherly. The Slavic script was created precisely in our country, in the First Bulgarian Empire, long before the development of literacy in Russia and other Slavic states, so it is at least a shame for us that its Russian form is preferred. Users from Bulgaria should be automatically switched to the corresponding font norm. Thank you 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬
