Suggestion for Nitro Gifting
My suggestion is that the Nitro gets claimed when pressing the Nitro Gift URL. You currently can lose the Nitro if you don't watch out with the URL.
For more clarification see my support request 33072269
I will just copy paste the messages I have send since Discord Support is doing that as well. (Am mad at Discord Support how they treat their users)
------
I would like for the support team to test out my theory for why it becomes invalid.
------
Try this on mobile
Step 1: Receive a Nitro link in dms.
Step 2: Press the URL, not the claim button. (You should see image-2)
Step 3: Press the 'back' button and you should see the dms of the person who gifted
Step 4: Wait 30 minutes - 1 hour and restart Discord
Now 2 possible outcomes.
The link would be invalid, "If you missed it, try asking for a new link!" or still available on your end, but not to the one you would send to. Then that person would see image-4
I believe that Discord is registering my actions as claiming when I pressed the link while I didn't.
To summarise, I received a Nitro from someone and pressed the URL instead of the claiming button. I had no intention to claim, so I pressed the 'back' button upon seeing image-2. After checking back later, the link became invalid for either me or the person I gave it to.

Hi Yan,
This is Nick, and I will take over this ticket while my teammate is away. Thanks for clarifying the steps to reproduce this issue!
To clarify, clicking the gift URL is the same action as clicking the Accept button and serves the same function. This is working as intended and I can confirm this is not a bug. This actually works the same way as server invites: you can paste a server invite link into a DM and clicking the Join Server button will work the same way as clicking the URL itself.
I hope this clarifies the situation. Please feel free to contact us again should you have any questions in the future!
Cheers,
Nick O
