Missing Features on Mobile
I think mobile app is long overdue to get some of the features that the desktop app and website has.
For one: The able to toggle emoticons to emojis on/off.
Two: The ability to efficiently change/switch accounts.
There are likely others I'm not covering.
Though personally, these are the only two I'm concerned with.
(Side note: I also believe the ability to see all your @ -mentions and "For You" thing on desktop would be pretty neat too. But that's just me.)
-
Account switching has been available as experiment for some time now.
Which is not really anything for normal users as they cannot access experiments without some trickery or a modded client.
But i am guessing it will most likely be implemented in the near future.
Even the ability to receive notifications for multiple accounts is in there.1 -
I understand your frustration with the lack of certain features on mobile phone apps compared to their desktop counterparts. While I can't address the specific concerns of any particular app or company, I can offer some general insights.
- Emoticons and emojis serve similar purposes but have different visual styles. The inclusion of a toggle option to switch between them would depend on the app's design choices and user demand. Some apps may prioritize emojis as they are more widely used and have a standardized appearance across platforms. However, if there is significant user demand for such a feature, it's possible that developers might consider adding it in future updates.
