This feature could be useful to provide more control on servers and prevent accidental role assignments. However, it should be noted that this feature could create an additional burden for server management and it may be difficult to determine the selection of many roles. Nonetheless, since each server has different needs and requirements, making such a feature available for use by server administrators could provide a better server management experience.
