Help selecting a new discriminator

TLDR: The new system need a way to find the shorter closer username

So, I'm very against the new discriminator proposal (because, let's face it, they aren't removing it, they are making us put it directly in the username...),
But if you proceed with the change, there is one important issue to solve:

In the case of the 10.000 John you mention in the post, and when you add 2500 John! and another 10.000 john and another 3400 john! , the new system will make 25900 user all fight for the same name (where the ancient username greatly reduced such name collision, thus the change worsen the issue.

Before, Discord was able to give each of these user a discriminator by handling the task of finding which of the 10.000 combination was available.
If the new system doesn't include such a system to help put the shortest number, discord will end up with usernames way harder to communicate than they currently have, since that, instead of trying manually 10.000 names, people will just continue adding numbers until they find a free username.

yeah - they're lowering the possible number of the same username from 9999 to one. It's incredibly dumb.

Already found it and upvoted anf followed it.
given the huge number of comments I figured it was useless to add it, also this part is about if they decide to go through with it, they need to fix that (the support told me to tell it here and not in a support ticket)

Yep. But some people still consider discriminator as part of their username
