Remove the AKA feature from profile cards and user profiles
I just received an update that added this "AKA" thing to my profile card and my user profile and it is impossible for me to see my profile details now. All the nicknames from the servers I'm in have completely flooded my profile and I'm unable to see anything like my bio or my notes, or even my connections - it's not good at all.
I'm not sure what happened here, but this doesn't make for a good user experience. I just hope* this is temporary.

+1 totally agree. We have AKA at the top of user DM's and also listed under each Mutual Server connection so I really don't see a need for it.

I agree, this feature I do not like. at all. There is nothing this "aka" feature is doing for me except cluttering the screen more, it's problematic for me and is not helpful. Please REMOVE the "AKA" Feature!!!

Does other people see the aka's from the profile card? I know they can see from dm's. If yes, I hope this update gets reverted or optional.

This is a horrible feature. My AKA is currently set to my real name which I do not want to reveal. I don't even know how Discord knew what my real name was!

This feature is a massive privacy violation, and an outright safety risk for many users. This should be removed ASAP.
"aka"s are showing me my own and other people's real names, which they're presumably using on a server they thought was private, or is used only amongst close-knit friends. I did not give my consent to show that, nor is it possible to remove this from your card.

Please delete the feature, many people have personal discords with real name, who would want personal data to be known, this is an invasion of privacy.

This needs to either be optional with a setting you can toggle or it needs to be removed altogether; because I do not appreciate having my dead name being displayed like this to literally thousands to tens of thousands of people.

This is literally one of the worst UI updates Discord has ever made. Whoever made this and thought it would be great must've been drunk.

After looking at people in my server's AKAs, I believe only the AKAs show up for other people your in mutual servers with, and not the AKAs you have if you're in a separate private server... unconfirmed though, but that's the theory I have from the evidence I gathered.
So privacy wise I think those who don't need to know your actual names, etc. won't actually know it unless they are in a mutual server where you have your actual name displayed.
Feature still sucks overall, though.

Agree, this needs to be removed asap. It's a huge piracy issue. With all these stupid changes being made, I'm ready to delete my account.

its all the used Server specific used usernames. so i have work, school, game and alot more different circles and groups and servers i dont want everyone to know my different servernames this is bullshit.

For now, I can confirm that users can see only mutual servers' nicknames. We ourselves can see full nicknames, so there can be our real name in AKA lists. But for other users, as long as they aren't in the server where our nickname is set as our real name, they won't see such names in AKA. I tested with other users and my alt
Still I don't like how it's poorly implemented, it should be at least foldable, and it should be closed as default because such information isn't something that we want to majorly know normally1 -

Yes, it was too irritating. But that's good that they have removed it. Now it will be helpful in performing many functions.
