Onboarding - Don't require 3 mandatory tasks (or a welcome message)
We cannot use the Onboarding feature on our server because we do not have three mandatory tasks to do, nor do we want our users to have to go through that kind of tedium. They should answer the questions, read and agree to the rules - done! That is the minimum possible level of friction for a new user.
I cannot see what possible rationale there can be for the three tasks to be *mandatory* to even enable the Onboarding feature. The feature is fine as an option, but *having* to use it and having a minimum number of user tasks to even enable the feature seems silly and pointlessly restricting. We considered creating three identical tasks that only required visiting the same channel (the "rules" channel), but it did not function well and seemed unprofessional and strange to users.
Please fix this requirement and don't force us to force our users to go through this silly pain to use this otherwise great feature! We are back to bot-managed reaction roles for now.
( The forced welcome message is also silly - what if we don't want that either? Why on earth bundle all these extra "mandatory features" into this feature? Why not let us choose which parts to use? )

100% agree. Not everyone comes to a server for the same thing - why would I tell people to visit the kittens channel if they're only here for puppy memes or vice versa? With advanced mode you might not even have three default channels that you could suggest to everyone. In my specific server, a task of 'ask a question in the appropriate category' that they could complete by posting in any channel could possibly make sense, but honestly - people know why they're here, I'd rather just let them do their thing without any nonsense.
The only reason I turned on Community was for Onboarding, and the only reason I want Onboarding is so people can assign themselves topic-based roles so that I'm not @everyoneing all the time. The rest of it is just driving me nuts.
