Newly created channels should be visible by default if admins sets it in onboarding section.
Currently if admin creates new channel its disabled by default to old users and they will NOT see it, even if you set it as default in onboarding section that this newly created channel should be visible by default.
Only newly joined users will see this new channel, old users will NOT see it until they go manually into "browse channels" / "channels & roles" and click that new channel manually.
This is imho something that should never been an issue at first place.
If admin wants to have some or none channels visible by default admin should be able to do so.

Yeah I agree, this is something that should have been accounted for with the onboarding feature.
I understand that the purpose of the feature is so that users can customize what they want to view, but, a channel that's so important that you want everyone to see by default should be available for existing and new members and if they don't want to see it, then they can use the “Browse Channels” section to disable it, but, there should definitely be an option to force this on everyone by default for situations like this.2 -
Is there any news about this problem?
We are experiencing the same issue.. it is a nightmare having to always ask users to follow the process to make new channels visible manually..
I hope it gets fixed soon.2
