"-" issue

I'm not the first or even a last user who has this problem. I send my request via form, so I will repeat it here. This bullet-point list "feature" changed many RP servers in the longest shopping lists on the globe! Also, made Roleplaying uncomfortable. Add "\" doesn't solve this problem. Users (In my case) are used to start typing own lines from "-" and forgets about giving backlash, and makes whole play annoying! If only we could type this once, but no! It's totally random and, again, just annoying. We have users, who likes these lists, and ok. We understand that, but the actual solution is far from acceptance. Users should have  possibility to make  own decision about formatting text. Add one character before "-" at the beginning of paragraph or adequate option i text-chat settings should solve this problem.

    Agree. I use discord also for roleplay games and this new feature is really annoying. Remove it or let user decide on his own to use it or not.

    I think it should be different command for it maybe -wright it like this- like we do *italics* and etc.

    You can use the slash in front of - (\-) to ignore the markdown

    I know it, but it's not easier to make more specific way to generate bullet point list and left "-" like it was before this update?

    this markdown is a default. that's probably why it was opted for discord.
    btw, users forgetting to do this is part of the transition from the new format. I agree that it can be annoying, but I think adaptation solves the problem better than other solutions

    I got it, but why we have to adapt, when make a more specific combination to create this list is more logical. Like Mike said - different command. I think, for many users of RP servers, the default option to make an answer in dialogue it was "-" and space after it. Now these servers looks like shopping lists + as I said, users who like bullet point lists, can create them by more specific command or combination, when role players can have old way of writing and normal look of their servers.

    The problem I'm facing is related to the voice chat feature. Whenever I join a voice channel and try to communicate with others, I can hear them perfectly fine, but they are unable to hear me. I have checked my microphone settings and made sure that my microphone is working properly in other applications. However, when it comes to Discord, it seems to be unable to pick up my feecheckers voice. I have also tested this issue on different devices and experienced the same problem. It's quite frustrating as I am unable to actively participate in voice conversations with my friends and community.
