Exposure control of webcam
I am surprised there isn't a topic about this yet; let me know if there is already but I couldn't find it.
Often I use Discord for casual meetings, and use the built-in webcam of my laptop. Like all built-in webcams, the dynamic range is terrible. When I'm meeting in the evening, I only have my desk light on. The background is dark. Because of auto exposure, my face is blown out and the background is a noisy mess. If I could turn the exposure down, the quality would greatly improve.
A main advantage of this lighting setup is that the background is black, and the focus is on me; not the background. When flooding the rest of the room with light, that effect is gone and other people in the room possibly don't want that. Or, in case of a window, it is impossible to lighten the background up.
I hope this relatively simple looking feature can be implemented.
