Drafts / Archive Unsent Messages

Similarly to how "Drafts" work in email, could we have an instant messenger equivalent of drafts in Discord?

I have not surveyed this, but I'm sure many of us have encountered a scenario where we type out a message, decide not to send it, delete it, and regret not saving it. This would also be useful for cases where planning a message ahead of time is just easier be it plans, notes, or huge messages that need an essay in response.

It would be great to have a designated place in where these unsent messaged could be archived instead. Users could then have the choice to save the message as a draft instead of sending or deleting it.

I'm not an expert with UI/UX, but an appropriate interface could be to just have it on the context-menu of the message input field, and bound to a shortcut such as CTRL + ENTER.
