UI Design Changes Solution: Give Users a Choice

PROBLEM

As of recent, Discord updated that included minor UI Design changes from the blurple color to a blue color, white pings that highlight, reactions and more minor changes.

I welcome change. I love to see innovation and Discord needs to be able to evolve. However, not everyone as I've seen easily accepts change. That's always the unfortunate part. I was surprised people even wanting you guys to revert back. You shouldn't in my opinion.

SOLUTION

I have a solution that will solve the problem on both sides: Choice. The new version could be the default version of Discord going forward, but for those who would like to stick with the original UI could enable/disable that in the User Settings.

This both solves Discord issue of wanting to evolve for the future and a user problem of having the choice to use the UI Design they prefer the most.

OTHER SOLUTIONS

Other solutions I have seen is allowing users to have access to customize the UI just the way they wish. This goes even farther then my solution and I would also welcome this. I believe users on the platform would have a lot of fun being able to design their own UI, similar how Apple iPhone users designed their apps when Shortcuts were released.

Yeah, this. Honestly, I personally do not like the new font whatsoever, and would prefer it to be unchanged. So being able to revert to the original would be really nice.

The new font looks like bubble letters a little kid might make, the original looks cool.
