Can't hide categories anymore, can we put the option back in?

It used to be that if you muted all channels inside a category and then turned on "hide muted channels", this would also hide the category as well. Makes sense; if all the channels are muted anyway, why would you want to have this empty category visible?

Well, one of the new updates seems to have taken away this functionality. Can you put it back in or some other method of hiding empty categories? They're cluttering my screen right now.
