Profile Banners

Nitro perk:
Classic: You are able to upload a custom banner that will display on your discord profile. (In place of the one now visible when you click on someone's profile)
Normal Nitro: Users are able to use animated banners inside of their profile banner, it would work much like how the animated profile pictures do now
No Nitro: People would be able to choose from a select amount of banners (Made by discord) which would include a solid color option where they can chose a solid color, or alternatively they can pick one of the pre made banners (which there could be 5 - 15 of) which would have various designs of color gradients, graphic art, and a bunch of discord-ey things
Alternatively, you could make it so that you can only choose solid colors if you don't have nitro and you can upload a custom image or choose from a library if you do have nitro.
This is just a suggestion and I am unsure if this can even be done, I doubt that this feature would get added but I think that it's a pretty good concept and I thought I should share it.

I am subscribed with Nitro Classic, but unfortunately it does prompt me to subscribe to 'regular' nitro to be able to upload a banner.
If you go to the subscription options in "billings" it specifically says "Does not include profile banner" under Nitro Classic. Looks like we're being skipped with that option completely.0 -

Hey um, I had nitro classic before but I realized that I needed discord nitro so I can get the new perks. So I upgraded to Discord Nitro and it worked for like a few mins but then it disappeared. I’m already subscribed to Discord Nitro but it’s telling me to Subscribe again and I don’t have the new perks at all is this normal 🧍🏽♀️

Nitro Classic users can not add a profile banner however they can add an about me.

Pretty sure you need to be on pc, and have full discord nitro not classic to use banners.

yeah I realized that now, it’s because people were getting jt because of the inspect element thing which can get you banned lol. the banner stuff wasnt really clearly talked about for me and seeing that people had it without regular nitro confused me

Alright, looks like the update has rolled out. All nitro users should now have access to the banner feature and about me section (about me is available to everyone.)

For anyone, like me, looking for this answer: Nitro CLASSIC users, we're excluded from being able to upload profile banners. We need to pay for the upgraded Nitro, sadly.

The fact that even nitro classic users can't change the banner to a still image feels like a spit in the face from discord. They could've had banners free for everyone, then animated ones for Classic or Full nitro, that would've made sense. They're trying to squeeze out as much money from a feature that's free on most other platforms. It's disappointing
