Revert Username Change
Been active on Discord since at least 2016 and been supporting with Nitro since 2019, I can recall the days where it seemed like changes were made for the betterment of the community. This isn't an update that improves anything for the end user, everyone loses here.
Anyways, I'm done with the platform until the day comes where the company actively gives a crap again instead of selling out for some middle management tier ideas that benefit literally no-one.

Leaving feedback is never a waste of time. Already spoke with my wallet and cancelled my Nitro, if you disagree with recent changes then do the same.

I am 110% certain that the "most upvoted post" plus an additional countless of posts caught their attention. Their decision is final, they stated this countless of times. If you do not like, there are other apps out there. Discord isn't forcing you to use their app...

Love how you completely skip over the fact I stated that I was done with the service and now are inserting your own delusion that I'm acting as if Discord forces me to use their app. I'm not ignorant enough to actually think my post will change anything. I made it strictly for whatever metrics Discord collects. I guarantee that a post holds more weight over a single vote on a post.
Also while it is true that there are other messaging applications out there, some of which I already use (Telegram, Matrix, Steam), Discord is by far the most widely used. It's like saying if someone doesn't like YouTube then they should use Vimeo, just doesn't make sense.6 -

Also your second part is untrue. Telegram has far more users / monthly active users than Discord do.
And if someone doesn't like YouTube, obviously they should find another service to use? What's not making sense there? If you dislike something, find something else, should be obvious.-9 -

When I said 'widely used', I was referring to groups of people that I'm most familiar with. Telegram does have more users, the majority of which come from Russia and India. I'm not going to be using Telegram to chat it up with some random Russians and Indians.
It doesn't make sense to finding an alternative because anything else would be inferior for what I'm getting, which is a service that hosts friend groups that I've been apart of for years. I guess that's probably why it's so easy for you to say that it does make sense to find an alternative, because you don't have those problems.5 -

- I talk to 4-5-6 people that I've talked to for years (irl as well) at the same time whenever I'm on Discord, yet not a huge problem here, but whatever.
Just go personal when you realise you're losing a debate lol.
