Yet another username post

I've just had my user name changed because of this awful idea. It changed my name and my posts in all of the servers I've been in because my preferred username was taken already. Then if I try to change my username and just add the discriminator that was already on my account, it says "This discriminator cannot be updated" Okay? Then why have that option in the app in the first place? Discord what the hell is going on? I just want to easily use the name I use online for everything else. You've made it so that I need to go to each and every individual server to change my "server profile". And I'll have to do this every time I join a new server now, too. This is a much worse scenario than just having a simple 4 digit number to remember. You've made my day-to-day experience with Discord much worse. Not just a 1 time thing. This absolutely sucks. I know there are already posts about this. They've reached their comment limit. So I'm here making another one. You need to know how bad of an update this is. I'm a Nitro user from 2015, and I'm considering leaving Discord over this. There are better options now.

    I paid for 7 years just for my username; finally a reason to cancel Nitro. 

    As a smaller content creator, I can do a complete rebrand as I had everything laid out on my Discord identity. 

    Really feels like someone ripped something out of me. 

    why have you not at least the names for 0001 gesavet? Probably it's fairer to have dead 2015 Discord accounts names sold on the internet.
