Safety Setup vs. Onboarding - Hidden Channels/User List Until Agree to Rules
I like how the Safety Setup/Rules and Onboarding sections work. However, I would like to offer a suggestion. It's great that new users cannot chat in channels until they agree to the rules. But I would like to go one step further and suggest that new users should not be able to see the list of chat channels or server members until they agree to the server rules. I tried to set up Onboarding so that every channel (save for one which contained a single post of the server rules) was private and accessible only those members who read the rules and self-assigned themselves a special role that stated they agree to the rules. Unfortunately, the current architecture for Onboarding is too restrictive and does not allow new users with no roles to view only a single channel and unlock the rest with self-assigning a role. Can this be implemented somehow, or can somebody offer a suggestion of how to do this with the current architecture?
