Noticed two mistranslations in the Profiles section of the settings
Hey there, I speak Spanish, Polish, Japanese and Italian on top of English and I noticed two fairly bad mistranslations in some new fields (One of them on "display name" and the other one on "pronouns", this one much worse than the others).
The first mistake is in Spanish. Here, the display name section is labeled "mostrar nombre". The word "display" in the English phrase is a noun, but it seems like the Spanish translator interpreted it as a verb, and translated it to essentially mean "display this following name". A more correct translation might be "nombre de visualización", or even "nombre para mostrar". "Mostrar nombre" doesn't quite communicate what this function does.
The second one, which as I said is much worse, involves Japanese, Italian, and Polish. The field has a placeholder which, in English, says "e.g. they/them", as in the singular third person pronoun. The Spanish translator understood what this was going for, and translated it with a suitably neutral pronoun ("elle"), but the other languages I mentioned... They just translated it with the corresponding plural pronoun ("loro", "彼ら", and "oni", these last two are actually masculine pronouns!). I seriously, seriously recommend fixing this. It is, at the very least, extremely embarrassing on Discord's part to anyone who knows about English gender neutral pronouns, and fails very badly at the very goal Discord set out to achieve with these new functions. I love that they added a Pronouns field, but they should have, like, proofread what they were doing.
Thank you for your time.
